Through Anne Mariën’s works, you can begin wandering, the spaces presented are not specific, do not indicate a defined space and therefore also allow wandering in our minds. The term “Reverie”refers to staying in an open state to absorb the emotional experience, through which one can begin to ask questions about the space.

As we can see at the work, we are in an abstract white space, which revealed dark areas deceptive as cracks. It is not clear whether the viewer is on a snowed surface and the ground opens below the legs or if we are at the bottom of a cave and see from above the exit that will save us. Are these cracks on earth or cracks in our souls?
